What is possibly cooler than *manifesting through orgasm*? Check out this interview I did with the amazing Kit Murray Maloney of O’Actually, for her 21 day Pleasure Pledge series. Thank you Kit for such an excellent {and fun!} dialogue!
Thanks to the beautiful Rachel Sizemore for hosting me on her podcast Ripen!
We jam on so much goodness, from taking responsibility for yourself, my journey from depletion to radiance, and lots of great practices for a happy sexually fulfilled self.

When was the last time you did something you enjoyed so much, you lost track of time?
When you were in such a pleasurable state, hours went by and you didn’t even notice?
How was the rest of your day after that experience?
How did you treat others? Your family?
In my experience, I tend to be much happier, kinder, and more patient after these times.
When you are in these pleasurable states, your brain is functioning from the highest level, the mid pre frontal cortex. This enables you to access more creativity, and higher cognitive function.
We can respond vs. react. We can creatively problem solve. We can appreciate and enjoy more.
When we are acting from a place of pain or suffering, the opposite is true. We go into our primal brain function. Reactive. Fearful. Fight or flight. Lashing out.
If the state of the world has you concerned right now, it is more important than ever to pursue pleasure. Your joy. So you can function from a place of creativity.
Also, when you are living in beautiful, pleasurable state of being, you are inspiring others to do the same.
We have mirror neurons that relate to others by observing them, and matching to your own internal reactions and experiences. That’s why for example when you see someone get hit by a Frisbee, you recoil. Or if you see someone laughing, it can become contagious.
This is why, in my humble opionon, pursing your pleasure is one of the best ways to save the world. I’ve said this before and will again, as mother Teresa says, the best way to save the world is to go home and love your family.
How can you do this?
Watch something funny. Listen to music that lights you up. Take action on causes that you are passionate about. Do something for someone else. Volunteer. Praise someone else, write a thank you note. Make love, All these things will help move your brain into a higher functioning plane.

It’s been a rough week at the Testa household. Mark was traveling for business last week, then my daughter got the flu, then I got the flu. BOO. I give it up to you single parents out there, it is super hard to parent solo when you are both super sick.
Currently I have a lot on my plate. The flu was not on my agenda of to do items. I initially felt super frustrated.
Feeling sick really makes it hard to feel good.
Especially when you have no family nearby, you can feel really alone.
But- did I really reach out for help? No. I’m sure if I did I could have found it. But after my tantrum I realized you have to surrender to what is. I can’t change what is happening. Thankfully in the big scheme of things its really no big deal.
When I allowed myself to surrender, I felt free.
Free to just let my body and mind rest. Free to cuddle and snuggle with my baby.
So the lesson I got – surrender. Don’t fight what is as it is just a waste of energy.
When I surrender to what is, my mind and body are free to just be. To go thru what we have to go thru. I can find moments to appreciate. Like the fact that I had a super cozy bed to snuggle with my baby. That we have Instacart. That thankfully my business is flexible, and there is room for life to happen. This is a huge gift.
When you are feeling that resistance, that frustration, I invite you to try and surrender instead. Let me know how it goes for you!
I wanted to share a beautiful love story. It’s about my Grandfather Judge Franklin H Pierce and my grandmother, Hilda Pierce.
Papa was such a wonderful grandfather, he spoiled us and made us feel precious. He was an outdoorsman, great friend and businessman, and a sharp dresser.
Mama was so creative, she was a poet, played piano, loved flowers, and art.
They seemed so glamorous! My sister and I loved to play in all my Mama’s beautiful evening gowns and fancy shoes.
He was so loving and romantic to Mama, always surprising her with gifts and notes.
We found this incredible gift from him to Mama – and how sweet is this! He made these “Love Knots” for her – she could pull one each week.
Guys – if you are looking for a last minute Valentine’s Gift that will knock her socks off, you can borrow his idea. 😉
Some of the beautiful, swoon worthy ideas for dates:
“Let’s make some candy, just for fun, even if it is fattening.”
“This weekend would be fun to just be lazy.”
“This knot entitles you to a pretty gown at some dress shop because I love you.”
“Let’s take a walk together because I love you.”
“I’ll turn the TV off and let’s go to the museum because I love you.”
“Let’s just you and me take a long ride, and enjoy each other all alone.”
“Let me read you some poetry because I love you.”
“Let’s talk just for fun, all about what we used to do.”
“Let’s call the neighbors and have a little party so I can show you off.”
Papa understood the way to a woman’s heart is thru PRESENCE. Not Presents. Being there. Giving your time to her without expectation. Such a beautiful gift.
Thought this was a beautiful inspiration of love for this Valentine’s Week.
Shower your loved ones with your presence.
Sending you lots of love!!

Have you ever had one of those nights connecting with your girlfriends that just made you feel so good?
It’s been a busy month of travel, schedules have been all over the place, so I was so grateful to spend an amazing night celebrating with some great friends last week.
Women are wired for connection. We crave it. I know that I need it in my life, so as a vital part of my self care I schedule time each month for an intentional girls night.
We talked about sex, politics; all the taboo subjects that go deep quick. It was a safe fun space, where we were able so speak freely and openly. Knowing we were held by our friends.
These nights just reinforce what I am doing and why I am doing it, because women want a safe space to talk about sex. They don’t want to have to hide their fears or frustrations anymore.
We celebrated our femininity, adorned ourselves with henna!
If you haven’t spent time with your girlfriends lately – pull out that calendar. Find a date, send out an email to your peeps. Get that on the books and enjoy!
Omg this podcast is sooooo good.
When Glennon starts talking about sexuality at around 34 mins in, it makes me just so thrilled that I am doing the work I am doing.
Women are so hungry for information on how to feel, how to love themselves, what that even means.
Becoming a sex and relationship coach is never something I envisioned for myself, I just kept following this call.
Through my own journey, my own self discovery, years of soul searching, doing the hard work to crack myself open, I know this is what I am called to do.
To help women reconnect with themselves so they can be whole.
So their relationships can thrive.
So they can fully discover how to feel.
So they can bring that little voice inside to the surface.
If you read Glennon Doyle Melton’s incredible, raw, beautiful book, Love Warrior, and felt a tug of yes, this is my story too, I can so relate.
I feel inspired to offer up a few free sessions, ping me if you want to take me up on fully discovering yourself.
Reconnecting to that lost spark inside you.
Finding immense pleasure and joy in your life.
